I liked your video about the Newville house. The house I’d sadly nothing like it was when “The Carpenter’s “ lived here. I spent so much time inside the home and loved it. I knew K&R and the entire family. Evelyn Wallace, their Personal Secretary, was my best friend. She worked inside the house in the office. Karen’s bedroom was on the left side in front but she had moved to what was Richards room across the hall. When she passed away, she had been staying in that room. It was bigger and quieter and she didn’t hear the noise from the street or lights shining in. The house used to be beautiful inside and out, not now. Mr. Carpenter, took great pride in the home. It was always beautiful and well maintained. There were no silly plastic deer’s, no overgrown shrubs and trees. The people who bought the house knew whose house it was. It was no surprise to them. The last time I saw the house was about 5 years ago and it hasn’t changed, still overgrown shrubs and trees. I was raised in Downey, worked in Downey and lived at the Carpenter’s apartments on 5th street for 20 years and love the city. The way the house is now is not the way I remember it. So sad…

Silverwood lake is essentially my backyard. My family used to have a cabin cruiser moored there. Had many great summers there. Pacific Crest Trail runs along the north side of the lake. My son's boy scout troop hiked it many times.

The bedroom that Karen Carpenter collapsed in is not on the right. It is on the left behind the tree. I’m sure that the reason the new owners have not trimmed that tree is because they would have people looking even more at the house and the bedroom of her passing.

Richard and Karen Carpenter's mom, Agnes died in 1996. He sold the house a year later.

The AGM batteries in both of my vehicles (218 Jeep & 2019 Ford Transit) are in vented wells under the passenger seats. NOTE: VENTED & if not connected to their vents WILL off gas into the vehicle interior when charging. Your video IS well done, but not all AGM batteries are the same and shouldn't be taken as such. Why not run the wire inside the rack & make a neater install? Very nice van!

❤❤❤Visit Downey library , we have all their stuff on display. 2012 to 2020. I worked in indiana, michagan, Shepardvill Kentucky and waxahachie texas. Everyone knew about Downey band. Well, back home. Since 1974. Downey local. I surfed Lake Superior Michagan for three years, i am back home. I surf HB pier or Portos , malibu. Paradise. I love returning.. never travel outside fo Downey.
